The best spikeless cricket shoes you’ve never heard of.
It’s no secret that we play cricket. And cricket requires lots of gear. Unfortunately, cricket equipment is overpriced and hard to get in the United States, since the sport is still budding here.
U.S. cricket gear vendors also usually charge for return shipping and offer a mere 7-day return window. This is especially annoying for cricket shoes, because the sizes are unreliable – even within the same brand.
So, I did what everyone else living in this capitalist dystopia does: I checked Amazon.

Skechers Cricket Turf Shoes (214205ID) Review

Amazon Cricket Shoes
I was quite surprised to see Skechers cricket shoes at the top of the Amazon results. When did Skechers start making cricket shoes, let alone ones that would arrive on Wednesday?
I pulled the trigger on a White/Black/Red pair and a White/Blue pair. After all, if the shoes were awful, I had a leisurely 30 days to return them for free.
The shoes ship directly from Amazon. They’re imported and sold by KDSPORTSUSA, which is the U.S. arm of KD Sports – a reputable sports gear retailer based in India.
I received both pairs of shoes within two days via Amazon Prime.
Interestingly, while many India-based retailers sell these Skechers cricket shoes, no U.S. cricket gear stores stock them. So, KDSPORTSUSA via Amazon is the only stateside option for now.

Price
At 79.99 + tax (purchased in February 2026), the Skechers Turf Cricket Shoes aren’t cheap. They’re pricier than SOLM8 cricket shoes, which are also available fast on Amazon, and which we reviewed here.
Also, the MSRP retail for the 214205ID turf cricket shoe at Skechers India converts to just $55. So KD sports is charging a premium for U.S. shoppers.
Still, these Skechers spikeless cricket shoes are cheaper than comparable cricket shoes available in the U.S. And with the added benefit of fast delivery, plus free returns, I think the price is acceptable.

Appearance
The black upper and red outsole colorway of the Skechers Turf Cricket Shoes is poorly designed. I only realized it once I tried them on.
Check out my spats.
The black top half makes it look like I’m wearing a giant sock. It’s giving 1920’s men’s wingtip gangster shoes or maybe black spats. Paired with black socks and black trousers – a typical T20 outfit – these cricket shoes look a little ridiculous.
The White/Blue colorway is nicer in-person than the Black/Red, though it’s still not particularly sleek. It’s giving green slime and crayon on paper vibes.
The black socks aren't doing any favors here.
Overall, it feels like style is an afterthought for Skechers with these spikeless shoes. I think the best-looking new cricket shoe is the Adidas Howzat Spikeless Cricket Shoes (JQ8547), which we review here.
However, as a runner, I’ve worn my fair share of butt-ugly, but functional footwear. And I think these Skechers shoes are a winner in terms of comfort and performance, as explained below.
Just a note: the shoe tongue shows the shoes were manufactured on 9/25 in India, so these are a pretty new product.

Skechers Men’s Turf Cricket Shoes Size
The Skechers cricket turf shoes are a Goldilocks fit. When I tried on the black/red pair, they fit exactly like a men’s US 10D should fit. This is a big reason why I liked them – they’re true to size.
But – and there is a big BUT – only the black/red pair fit perfectly. The white/blue pair feels shorter and narrower. It’s not drastic, but it’s noticeable. I’m not sure if it’s a wider quality control issue.
With play, the synthetic upper might have limbered up a bit, but I didn’t want to risk it. I was stuck with the spats.

Weight
The 214205ID Skechers turf cricket shoes are quite lightweight, at just 700 grams for the pair.
To put that in perspective, here’s how much other US 10D spikeless cricket shoe pairs weighed:

Spikeless
Adidas Howzat Spikeless Cricket Shoes
737 Grams

Spikeless
SOLM8 S1 Rubber Spikes
720 Grams

Spikeless
Skechers Spikeless Turf Shoes
700 Grams
So the Skechers spikeless cricket shoes are relatively lightweight. In hand and on foot, they also feel light. Cricket shoes are often heavy and clunky, and these feel closer to road running shoes with a grippy bottom.
Despite the slight fit difference, both colorways weighed the same.

Comfort and Performance
The Skechers are comfortable for every kind of cricket movement: walking, running, jumping, turning, standing, bowling, sprinting, etc.
The comfiest cricket shoe I’ve ever worn is the 2022 version of the New Balance CK4020. However, the EVA midsole was so soft, it almost felt mushy.
With the Skechers Turf Cricket Shoes (214205ID), the EVA midsole feels cloud-soft, but springy underfoot. It’s not too spongy and has good energy return. I can sprint in these shoes, but also stand around comfortably in them while pretending to field.
Sometimes new shoes reveal how awful they are the longer you wear them. With the Skechers Turf Cricket Shoes (214205ID), I didn’t even want to take them off after playing a three-hour match.
The toes are reinforced to protect against cricket balls, but they don’t feel stiff. My feet also didn’t overheat in 80-degree weather. Overall, the shoe feels protective, but flexible and breathable.
The elongated outsole reminds me of lightweight Hoka trail running shoes. On a poorly cut grass field, I felt I had good braking power and control on uneven terrain.
The product description says that the “multidirectional lugged outsole helps you maintain a grip on wet grass or all kinds of turf.” I found this to be true – these shoes made me feel nimble and confident on uneven grass.
These Skechers Turf Cricket Shoes Are a Hidden Gem
Howzat for a surprise: we recommend the Skechers Turf Cricket Shoes (214205ID)!? I kept these shoes and will continue to play in them. They’re a tad overpriced, but getting them from Amazon is worth the cost. It’s rare to find cricket shoes that you can try on without penalty.
I’ve owned other cricket shoes that look and feel more premium, but these Skechers sure are comfortable. They also have more pep and bend than other spikeless options, without sacrificing cushion.
Finally, these turf cricket shoes do what they’re supposed to do: provide traction on all kinds of playing surfaces. Club-level cricket fielders and batters will love these shoes.
Only time will tell their longevity. After all, these are technically only $50 shoes. I’ll continue to use them for the season and update our three cents in due time.
